The Bluestar is the name given to the 1989 VW Vanagon Wolfsburg Edition GL van, with interior by Westfalia.

There were only 1500 Bluestars imported to the US in 1989. These vans have distinctive one-year-only features: a stunning color (Star Blue Metallic paint code B5DT), diagonally striped upholstery, gray dashboard, and every option luxury option available, even a wall-mounted bass reflex speaker.

A similar configuration, minus the signature colors and fabric, would subsequently be known as the Carat in 1990-91.
